The Read It Later blog has a every interesting article on time shifted reading based on their app statistics. Most people discover and save articles through out the day, but saving their reading until evening.
the biggest time for reading: personal prime time. This is generally the most relaxing time of day. After a long day, work is done, dinner is resting in your belly and there is nothing left to do but put your feet up and relax. This time slot is the same one coveted by television. When the majority of people are consuming content it seems perfectly natural that people would use this time to do their reading as well.
It also notes that iPad owners generally read on their iPad – even if they discover things on their computer or mobile. Worth a read.

Version 1.6 of My Newspaper with all of it’s iOS4.2 non-crashing goodness has been approved and is awaiting your download from the App Store! In addition to iOS4.2 compatibility, stability has been improved and there are a couple of bug fixes. This will be the last release before our massive 2.0 update coming in the next couple weeks. (Beta testers will have it this week!)
Thank you all for your patience while it was approved – sorry about the delay. I had no way of knowing when iOS4.2 was going to be released but I should have submitted 1.6 to the App Store sooner.
If you would like to update your Reviews (or leave a new one) here is the link! Good reviews really help us!

Thanks everyone who offered to help test version 1.5. We have as many as we can handle! I couldn’t accept everyone who offered, so I’ll email everyone in the next day or two with an update. I am hoping that we can test for one week and get a final 1.5 version submitted for app store approval next week! I am very excited so see how everyone uses the new features!
Our next version will be all about adding ‘Sections’ based on your Google Reader folders as well as some more startup / fetching options and Google ‘liking’ and sharing. Twitter and Facebook will be soon as well!
