How many iPad pre-orders?

Blogger Daniel Tello has been giving blow-by-blow updates of iPads sold by tracking order numbers from the Apple Store.

That’s my update for the week: 180 thousand units pre-ordered online as of noon yesterday. It obviously doesn’t include store pickup reservations, nor will it include store sales after April 3 (if I’m still getting order submissions and bothering to track these). That’s it. Based on this, and using my intuition and experience, and voodoo or however you want to call it, I’m sticking to my prediction of 1 million sold by mid-April

Considering there are estimates of another 150,000 units have been reserved for pick-up at Apple Stores, I am guessing 500,000 units sold within 48 hours of launch on April 3rd. I think Daniel’s estimate of 1 million by mid-April is optimistic, but once the iPad launched internationally in late April, it should blow past 1 million very quickly.

This should be very good news for all the iPad developers out there!

Available in the iPad App Store

★★★★★ - The best feed reader available

The layout and graphics are far superior to any other reader. I've purchased at least 6 of the top rated readers and none can match My Newspaper. A must have for the iPad
