iPad to Launch in the US on April 3rd

Apple has announced the official launch date of the iPad in the US – Saturday April 3rd. As expected, it will be the Wi-Fi only version, with the 3G version coming later in April. International availability is yet to be confirmed, but will be sometime in late April for most countries. It is expected that the Wi-Fi and 3G versions will launch at the same time internationally. You can pre-order your Wi-Fi iPad via the apple store staring March 12th. The 16GB version will be $499. See the iPad Pricing page for other prices.

We are looking forward to getting our hands on one ASAP after launch to test My News Pad on a real device and refine it. We will be putting it in the App Store as soon as we can after launch!
