WIRED: How the Tablet will change the world

I’m a very long time reader of Wired Magazine. Through the decades, it has been a great publication and a must-read for me every almost month.

Steven Levy has just put out his article on How the Tablet will change the World. He talks about the iPad and how Chrome OS could compete. I disagree – I think that Android (on various hardware) will be the competition to iPad over the next years. Mostly though, I think his point is that there are many technologies that are going to shake up desktop computing and how we think of using computers and apps over the coming years.

Make sure you click on the Sidebar – 13 of the Brightest Tech Minds Sound Off on the Rise of the Tablet. My favorite is Kevin Kelly:

Don’t think of them as tablets. Think of them as windows that you carry.

Indeed. Windows to entertainment, knowledge, social connections, and enjoyment.

★★★★★ - The best feed reader available

The layout and graphics are far superior to any other reader. I've purchased at least 6 of the top rated readers and none can match My Newspaper. A must have for the iPad
